Chocolate, Nut Butter, Banana, Protein Smoothie

This is a high protein, healthy smoothie with anti-inflammatory properties. I use peanut butter which has no added sugar or salt as well as a low carb whey protein powder.

You can use any flavour protein powder you like. I've had great results with the following protein powder flavours: chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream, and peanut butter.

5 minutes to make. Serves 1.


  • 1 medium banana, peeled

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter or other nut butter

  • 1 serving of protein powder (mixed with water or milk as indicated)

  • 1/2 tsp raw honey or other sweetener

  • 4 blocks of ice

  • A pinch of cinnamon and ginger


  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. If a thinner consistency is desired, add a little bit of water.

  3. Pour into a big glass and enjoy.
